Sample Itinerary: Saturday Feb 6 - Saturday Feb 13, 2023
Saturday - Fly into Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) to be welcomed by Brooke and Arthur. Make your way to Gardiner from Bozeman with your new friends and settle into your room for the weekend. After looking for your first few critters at sunset, g out for dinner in the historic town of Gardiner. After filling your belly, get some rest for the long week ahead.
Sunday - Wake up before sunrise, enjoy a warm breakfast, and head into the park for the best morning light possible. After an epic morning on the search for wolves, coyotes, and bison, enjoy a field lunch at one of many scenic overlooks in the Northern Range - remember to keep an eye out as wildlife can come from anywhere and at anytime here! Spend the rest of the afternoon improving your images and finding new animals to photograph before returning back to Gardiner.
Monday - Set out on another day of wildlife photography into the magnificent valleys of the Northern Range. With one day of observations under our belt, we will refine our focus to hopefully improve our sightings and images created in the field this morning. Track recent movements with your guides and sett yourself up for success based on recently observed wildlife activity. Foxes, bighorn sheep, elk, and more also call this geologically unique valley home - the search never ends!
Tuesday - Wake up before sunrise, enjoy a warm breakfast, and bundle up one for one last morning safari in the Northern Range. Take it all in and capture a few last images before heading south towards West Yellowstone. During this 3 hour drive, keep your eyes peeled for moose and coyotes making the most of thermally influenced rivers that stay unfrozen throughout the winter. Grab a warm dinner upon arrival into town and get some rest because the next two days are full of action!
Wednesday & Thursday - On these days, we will spend our entire days from first light until sunset out on a private snowcoach excursion in the deepest and most remote parts of the park mid winter. We will explore roads only accessible via special snow vehicles as we search for the Wapiti Lake wolf pack, giant bison herds, elusive bobcats, sneaky coyotes, all among the fuming geothermal plateaus of Yellowstone’s caldera. Even the most spectacular landscapes and wildlife opportunities can be fleeting, stay ready for them and anticipate the best moments thanks to an extra guide on these days.
Friday - After a warm breakfast, hit the road south again as you make your way towards Jackson Hole, home of Grand Teton National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an early lunch and continue straight into the park as you explore wilderness and track wildlife among the most majestic landscapes on Earth. Thousands of elk, hundreds of bighorn sheep, and dozens upon dozens of moose make their way into this valley to stick out the winter. Upon returning, enjoy a warm dinner in the charming town of Jackson before preparing for your last night.
Saturday - Enjoy one last sunrise outing as we chase the stunning morning light that Grand Teton offers. Take it all in one last time before checking out and making your way to the airport. For those who decided to extend their stay by a day to enjoy the park on their own, your guides will take you to your rental car location. It’s never a goodbye, it’s a see you soon!
